Collision Brewery in Longmont. Here is a job that we recently did with concrete polishing, stain and two-part polyaspartic.
Below photos, the owner had an artist come in and paint the floor and then we sealed over it. Amazing work.
Here at Concrete Floor Systems, we are extremely conscious of our environment like most other companies. This was the #1 reason I started the company 15 years ago. I saw how this type of flooring system would eliminate petroleum flooring products that come from countries that do not like the USA. My philosophy is the greenest product is no product at all.
Polished concrete is exceptionally green since we are not adding another petroleum product on top of the concrete that is getting shipped halfway across the world. There are many other benefits to go along with the environmental benefit.
To complement Concrete Floor Systems commitment to our environment, we drive electric cars. Our new Senior Project Manager Andrew Mancuso will be driving one as well. Since 2015 I have saved the environment 414 tons of CO2 by driving an electric car and saved the company’s pocketbook of $36,000 in savings from the lack of fuel, brakes, oil changes, transmission fluid changes, etc.
We have a Tesla Model 3 coming to Concrete Floor System to save the company money and save a massive amount of C02 into the atmosphere.

Hord Coplan Macht (HCM) schools always turn out great. Especially when Concrete Floor Systems polishes their concrete. LOL. Love the natural rock look around the concrete pedestal. This job was done almost 2 years ago.
How did we do this?
We came in early in the project and ground and polished the slab. We use high-quality diamonds from Pantheon Sales and Rental which are from Diamatic. They only use South Korea diamonds. We cross hatch the floor and refine the floor to full refinement.
After we get to a 200 grit we densify the floor at 200 sq ft per gallon. We work in the Diamatic Ultra-Sil and allow it to dry overnight. Best way to densify. Then we do the 400-800-1800 grits. All edges are done by hand. All door jams are done with a small tool. No halos around the walls or door jams for CFS.
We put down two very thin applications of stain protection and burnish. Then we covered the floor with EZ Cover from Pantheon Sales and Rental.
It’s simple enough when you have highly trained craftsman working for your company…. Polished concrete if done correctly will last a lifetime, but when companies cut corners, it will not hold up or look this good.
The death of polished concrete will be General Contractors hiring concrete polishers that have no idea what they’re doing or if they do know what they are doing then their cheating the system. We’re seeing this more and more of this.
Here is a supposed polished floor that is scaling in less than one year. This because it’s a grind and seal. When it was done it obviously was sellable but it’s not holding up since it is a topical sealer.
This is not a grind and polish. Polished concrete is not a topical sealer and if done correctly should last for over 10 years before anything needs to be done.
Here is another project we were called out to review after it was polished by the low bid polisher. This was polished by a company out of Colorado Springs.
Yes, we did bid this project but told our number was too high. Now we are looking to fix it and the number just went up since we have so much more work to do. Amazing. I am getting calls on a weekly basis about floors like this.
Trust me, folks…. Finding quality concrete polishers is tough. If you have one make sure to stick with them and do not let them go. The reason this business is so tough for an estimator is the GC really does not know what the polishers is doing when they are on the slab trying to polish it.
