Here are some photos from a concrete polished garage floor we recently completed for a homeowner in Evergreen. Our client wanted a durable, quality garage floor that would stand the test of time. He chose polished concrete over Epoxy.
You’ll notice immediately how reflective the garage floor is. Not only does it look beautiful, it makes the garage nice and bright. When you’re working in the garage, you can actually see what you’re doing.
Superior to Epoxy Coating on Garage Floors
Epoxy coating comes with many drawbacks. If you don’t get the mixture of epoxy coating just right, the floor will never fully cure. It will feel tacky to the touch. As a result, you can get black tire marks on epoxy coated floors. This is especially true with softer high performance tires like those shown in these photographs. Tires get hot and sticky when out on the road. When they return to the garage, they can cool down and stick to some epoxy coatings.
Concrete Polished surfaces don’t have any of these drawbacks.
